The herbs have sprouted - I took the little "green house sandwich bags" off for the photo. With the VERY CHILLY days we had recently, I moved them in by our heater for a couple of days. Now they're lookin' good. Especially the Sweet Basil (left) and Sweet Marjoram (center). The Curled Parsley (right) is taking its sweet time, but I think I see a tiny hint of some germination going on there, too.
Our Redbud tree in the front yard may be a small one, but it's BURSTING with blooms. Gorgeous! If I can't have lilacs, I think (visually) redbud blooms are the next best thing. :)
And of course the wheat is coming along. We didn't hardly get any moisture with the clouds that came through these last few days, maybe a little drizzle one night. We desperately need moisture. But the wheat (also out in the fields) is still looking green and lush. Just think what a good rain and warm temperatures would do!
We are supposed to hit 90 here on Sunday. .some moisture here would be needed too!! We missed the rains last week! Glad you can enjoy that redbud color!! They are one of my fave's too!
ReplyDeleteYes, these redbuds sure look cheerful after a dreary winter. :) We finally stuck our AC's in the windows after that last warm spell, then it got cool again, now it's going to get warm again. That 90 degrees sounds plumb HOT! Let's pray for rain.
