Red Bud Nipped

I think it was a couple of weeks ago, our little Red Bud tree out front started to bloom. Little pink buds were baaaarely starting to open. Then .... "winter" had to rear its ugly head again. WINTER DOES NOT KNOW WHEN TO LET GO THIS YEAR.

Yesterday and today has been/will be in the 80's. In addition to giving me misery of allergies, it's also making the trees start to leaf out. (The two are probably connected - things leafing and blooming, and miserable nose and eyes.) You can see tinges of green in trees now. It won't be long before everything's GREEN for the next 6 or 7 months.

But alas, I think our Red Bud (and all the Red Buds around) has had to skip the beautiful pink blossoms this year. This is how our little tree looks today:
