Every so often (ahem!) I like to "splurge" a little bit at wallyworld and get some chocolate that's not your run-of-the-mill candy bar. One kind I sometimes get comes in a little fancy sack. When the sack's empty, I use it to put sewing threads and scraps in, then I just throw the whole thing away when it's full.
I also have candy dishes and jars on my sewing table with .... various kinds of chocolate candy. It helps me sew.
Older Son was mooching some goodies from my sewing table, and hinted that we needed more of that certain kind in the bag. I said, "I like this Lindt chocolate better than that other one they have .... uhh .... I forget what the name is .... I think it starts with 'G.' " (Though this other kind is good, too.)
I wracked my brain and thought as hard as I could, and could NOT come up with the other kind of chocolate that wallyworld has that starts with "G!"
"Godiva?" I thought. No, that's a ... uh .... unclothed lady on a horse, and it is part of a brand name of chocolate, but not the one I'm looking for.
"Gameinhardt?" NO, that's a make of flute. I used to have one.
"Gelbvieh?" NO!!! That's a breed of cattle!!!!

Oh, we LOVE this chocolate too!! It's just scrumptious. Jacob really has a "problem" with it and was buying bags of it and hoarding them in his room until the Dollar Store discontinued it. It was a sad sad day for him! ;)
ReplyDeleteI recently tired on that had chili peppers in it. It was great, but the the "kick" kicked in. I don't know. When I eat chocolate I don't want to be chasing it with water.
That would be TRIED ONE! My gosh I need to drink more coffee. :/

ReplyDeleteHa, Becky, I understand the "hoarding" thing! (Dang near typed "hearding" - you are not alone in typos!! LOL) I've seen about the "pepper-chocolate" combo before, but never have tried it - not sure I want to. I prefer "liquid hot chocolate," if you know what I mean. :) LOL

ReplyDeleteI have to admit,I tried a piece of the cayenne chocolate. .mine was excellent!! Not much kick at all, but a definite "warming". .just seemed to add so much depth to the already delicious chocolate! If you ever get the opportunity, just try it once! And then let us know what you thought!
