One Roma Tomato

Despite drought conditions and scorched vines, I picked a Roma tomato from the garden this evening! First one that didn't rot or shrivel. It wasn't very big, but big enough for a sample.

Split, salted and peppered.

One bite gone. Yum!

Empty plate. I think I prefer the bigger tomatoes with more juice in them, but this was O.K.

Now I have a yellow summer squash forming, but I'm still waiting on the zucchini. But the blooms are all over the place on all these plants, so hopefully we'll enjoy some of it soon.

  1. We've had a lot of cherry tomatoes, but our big ones are either being eaten or rotting before they turn. What a frustrating year! =(
