My Sewing Nook

WOO-HOO! I finally got my dining room table cleared off so I can do something useful and fun at it. :) I'm putting some quilt pieces together that a lady gave me to fool around with. So the next item of business is to dig my sewing machine out of the upstairs "store room," and find my bobbins. And try out my new bobbin winder that my son bought me here awhile back. :) Just don't ask where I put all the stuff that WAS on the table.

  3. Becky, quilting is a lot of fun! You don't have to make a big project, even little ones are cool to do, and a fun way to start. I found the chalk board at one of the garage sales here awhile back, for practically nothing. I've always liked chalk boards. :)

Thanks, Rhonda! I have a lot of fun with my camera. I went years and years without one, so it's nice to be able to take pictures again. I'm excited to see how these quilt pieces turn out - it's a pattern a lady at church came up with, and she gave me some of her pieces she had cut out to mess around with. :)

  4. Fun project--hope you get some quilting done, before the table gets cluttered up again!! As for the independence day laundry--just got home from the church where we practiced our worship music for this Sunday--The patriotic music just gave me goosebumps! If our forefathers could see how we have turned from their God to do it "our" way--! Have a great weekend!

  5. You have a great weekend too, Melanie! As soon as I actually get the sewing machine out, that table will be FULL of fun stuff goin' on. :) Yes, I think the forefathers of this country would be in total shock to see how things have "progressed." I pray there's still a remnant of citizens who really want to stick with what's important. That includes the Almighty God as our true, living God.
