Shuffle

I know I said I'm taking the week off, but I just had to update about my dining room table. I needed to be near an outlet for my sewing machine, so I shuffled things around, and put the table in the corner. Now I'm a sewin' fool!

So far, I got a dozen quilt blocks put together for a small quilt top. This is called "Shards of Glass" that a lady at church made up. She gave me the pieces to fool around with. I put all these red-white-and-blue types together. There are also a couple of other groups that look good together that I'll do something with. I also want to make a clothespin bag, and I want to try an apron of some kind. NOW I'll be taking the rest of the week off. :) See ya' soon!

  1. That look like an interesting quilt pattern. I love the red, white and blue...would be great for the 4th picnics or as a tablecloth. I too want to make a clothespin bag, so I will be watching to see how yours turn out.

  3. I think that pattern put together would make a really cute apron! I'd probably be tempted to put a gingham with it!

  4. Thanks for your comments, everyone!

Sara, I will definitely post a clothespin bag when I get one made. :)

Cindy, I like your idea of gingham. I love combining gingham with floral or calico. I made some kitchen curtains awhile back that combined floral, gingham and ric-rac. :) I also like your idea of putting it in an apron!
