But we're having what I call a "blustery" day. VERY cool, rainy and showery, and a brisk north wind whipping things around.
Then, as I was sitting here at the computer, I started to hear this >>RUMBLE-RUMBLE<< ... at first I thought it might be thunder, then I thought something was blowing in the wind next door (they have loose tin laying over there that flaps in the wind), then I thought perhaps it was another EARTHQUAKE. Then, as the >>RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE<< went over my head and I heard a >>CLONK!!!<< in the front yard, I knew what had happened. I've been laughing ever since.
At the top of our roof, a couple of bricks have been in place, holding a cover on a pipe. There's a brick on the south side of the pipe, but another one has been at an odd angle to the side-front of it for a long, long time. I've been wondering how long it would stay up there, and if the wind be strong enough to blow it down. (Of course, you can't see a brick in this view anymore! ha ha)
Well, the scales finally tipped in favor of the wind today, and THIS came >>RUMBLING<< down to our front yard! Older Son came downstairs wondering what in the world had happened - he kind of figured it was the brick! I'm wondering now if we need to put it back up there. I hope the rest of the day calms down. OU is playing Iowa, and I have no idea how they'll do, considering recent games! So ... it's kind of a "wild Saturday" around here.
We had a very blustery day too. .BRRR!
