It's Gonna Get Cold
See that squiggly blue line with little pointy things on it? That's the weather map symbol for a "cold front." Now, we've had several cold fronts so far this season, that have brought cooler temperatures, rains and storms. Normal stuff for fall. But the cold front you see in the photo of the weather website above isn't just any ol' front ... it's an ARCTIC front, straight from the depths of Canada. It's been gathering and ready to sink our way, and today's the day for it to hit here in the Great Plains. Where we live, at 2:30 p.m., it's partly sunny and 58 degrees. That isn't going to last long. You can see the front is entering the north edge of our state of Oklahoma, and we'll be feeling the bitter breezes over the next two days! In fact, there's a hard freeze warning for Wednesday morning, so if you ain't winterized by now, you'd better hop to it!
