At the thrift store, there's a tall, narrow rack in the shoe section. For boots. Hunting boots. Hiking boots. COWBOY BOOTS. Cowgirl MUST check this section out each time, because she never knows just what she may find.
She doesn't necessarily keep all the boots she finds there - if she takes them home and they don't really work, she'll send them back. Hey, the money goes for a great cause. So it's a fun way to play around with clothes and purses and footwear and accessories. And dishes. And books. And cowboy boots. But Cowgirl digresses.
Yesterday, Cowgirl made a very unusual find in that boot section:
The unusual thing isn't that they're two-toned ...
... or have round toes with an overlay ...
... or have pull holes.
The unusual thing is, they have ... zippers.
Cowgirl couldn't find any brand or size stamped on the inside like usual store-bought boots, so she wonders if perhaps these were special-made.
Cowgirl's Dad always talked about how he couldn't ever wear western/cowboy boots because of his high arch. Perhaps something like this would've solved the problem.
Ready to go!
Once I wore these a bit, I realized they HAD to be special-made. The left boot is the slightest bit longer than the right boot. But at any rate, they're wearable and have "character." :)
Cowgirl even saw a lesson in this. If you're unusual in some regard, perhaps it's because you have a special purpose. Rejoice in it!
Cowgirl is pretty sure these boots will stay. :)
I so want to come to your 'junk'store....you have hit pay-dirt so many times.....LUCKY you!!!
