The Offending Tea

I think farmers' pickups are notorious for gathering all sorts of items as days go by. My husband had to make a parts run in boss's pickup this morning, and stopped by the house on the way to pick up something here. As I yakked with him a bit out at the pickup before he left, he handed me a few "trash" items that needed tossed out. One of them was THIS:

So, it looks like an old fountain drink cup, you say? That's normal "trash" in a vehicle. OK - THIS IS THE SAME CUP THAT I TOOK A SWIG OUT OF FIVE DAYS AGO, and it was AT LEAST one day old then!! (See previous post, "Fruit Basket Upset, Vehicle-Style.") With this kind of track record, I wonder now just how old it was when I got a drink of it! So here it's been sitting all this time, STILL WITH "HOT" TEA IN IT, but it finally got tossed in the trash TODAY. Note the nice film of dirt on top of the lid - also completely normal in a farmer's pickup. So if you get in a farmer's pickup, RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK, and don't accidentally pick up the wrong fountain drink!

  2. LOL! I wondered if there might be some effects even from one "sip," but so far so good. :)
