Well. I knew I hadn't blogged in awhile, but there's nothing for July, and it's almost over! So .... we'll just do a recap.
We had a nice Independence Day. It was in the middle of the week, so all week long there were fireworks all over town.
There was an AWESOME full double rainbow in the west-southwest early one morning ... just beautiful!
The flowers out front bloomed great for awhile, but now at the end of the month ... not looking so hot! It'll be something if I have a petunia bloom to put in the fair. ha ha
A beautiful sunflower by the bird feeder.
Finished my first pair of knitted socks EVER. Will probably make more ... they are COMFY!!!
"Pre-birthday" ice cream (a day or two early) in a bowl.
I turned a year older. This is me with my uncle, probably 25-30 years ago ... we shared a birthday. :) This was at a party in our back yard, a bunch of us enjoyed grilled stuff, cake, punch, etc.
The Locust tree is growing and growing.
Lush countryside and blue, blue sky after some rain ....
.... which also caused some flooding.
Hubby, Younger Son, DOG and I went and visited the mountains the other day.
With the rains we've been having, the Rose of Sharon bushes are full of beautiful blooms. A couple are this pink shade, and one has white blooms.
