The Blooms are Back!

After being drought-stricken and stripped by grasshoppers last summer, look what's flourishing and blooming in our yard ... our wild rose bush! (Younger Son in the first two pics.)

  1. My husband mowed down one of the peony bushes last summer. It's back this spring also!

  2. Pretty!! We thought mom and dad had lost their rose bush. Its a beautiful pale pale pink, almost white rose, and its been there FOREVER. Dad was talking to me about ripping it out, but I found ONE LONE little shoot coming up out of the dead!! =)

  4. Grasshoppers and drought. It is like the Bible or grapes of wrath. Glad something survived. Here is too this year being much kinder to your yard.

  5. Hi Rhonda, nice to hear from you.
I had some hostas that I thought just burned up over the summer, that all miraculously came back We thought the katawpa tree died to but it is alive and well too.
