Harley, the GIRL pup!
(Please excuse the fact that she's sticking her tongue out in the photo. ha ha)
Hubby only took a quick glance "underneath" when we got this pup, so we were all going on the idea that this was a boy pup. Hubby named it "Harley," as he likes motorcycles. I liked the name "Harley," too.
Well, that next morning, Harley was napping on my lap, and I thought her tummy looked like a girl tummy, as in, little marks that meant she could be a mama dog someday and nurse pups. So .... I took a closer look. Did a little research on the internet to understand the difference between girl and boy pups, and ... she's a GIRL! And the name still fits. She's pretty fun so far, even with all the "puppy training" that's going on. She seems to be a very alert, smart pup. Stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteHow exciting...I LOVE puppy breath!!! Any idea as to the breeding? The front paw looks big, but the back paw looks small; probably the camera angle. With a name like Harley, she's gonna be a rough 'n tumble kinda girl!! Congrats on your cute lil' new family member!!

ReplyDeleteHi Becky, glad to see you got on here! :) And thanks all, we are enjoying her! gtyyup, she's part lab and who knows what else. LOL But we sure are suspecting Border Collie. When I take her out in the yard, she puts her nose to the ground, and she's off on a HUNT! She's a little explorer. Sniffing something out. She's got a lot of energy, she can really play! I'm just waiting to get to playing fetch with her. :) Also, I'll see what's going on with the comments, thanks. :)
