Seven Things

Was just checking out a blog, she had some kind of award thing going on where you list seven things about yourself. Well, I get confused about dealing with these blog-awards, so I'm just going to list seven things about myself "for the fun of it." :)

1. I'm definitely a "country-girl homemaker" at heart. I love everything about country living, agriculture, and having a happy home both for the "eye" and for the "heart."

2. I hate paperwork, but I love to type, I love to read. I got a 60 w.p.m. typing award when I was in high school.

3. I'm a bona fide weather nut. When it's stormy in any way, I'm on it!!! I love clouds. I love something going on in the atmosphere. This is interesting considering I was TERRIFIED of storms and tornadoes as a kid.

4. In the past, I played piano on TV and radio. I think that was about 100 years ago, seemingly! Did someone else do that? I even have a video of the TV thing! I don't want to watch it, I'm shy!

5. My excursion horizons include southern Nebraska; Albuquerque, N.M.; Matamoros, Mexico; and St. Louis MO. My parents and brother had been on Pikes Peak, but my grandma and I each got to go up in the St. Louis Arch!

6. I love languages, but don't speak anything fluently except English. LOL

7. I love working with anything that has to do with "fiber" - quilting, knitting, crocheting, and I WANT TO LEARN TO WEAVE. On a real loom, even if it's a small one.

  2. Loved your post. I have always been interested in languages too. .Especially Spanish. I practice the little bit I know in the health department job. .am hoping to someday get a Rosetta Stone system to master the language!

  3. LOL Diana, that was a lo-o-o-ong time ago! I'll have to tell you about it sometime. :)

Melanie, that would be neat to get the Rosetta Stone lessons. They're supposed to be really good. :) I'd like to get that in Hebrew.
